Is end of tenancy cleaning legally required? +
Not legally, but most Edinburgh landlords and letting agents require a professional clean as part of the checkout process. Without one, deductions from your deposit are almost guaranteed — and a professional clean typically costs far less than the deduction you'd face.
How long does an end of tenancy clean take? +
A 1-bed flat typically takes 3–4 hours, a 2-bed flat 4–5 hours. Larger properties or those in poor condition take longer. We always allow enough time to do the job to inventory standard rather than rush it.
What if the landlord still isn't happy? +
We clean to inventory standard. If your landlord or agent flags specific issues within 48 hours of the clean, we come back and put them right at no extra charge. Every clean is photo-documented as evidence for your deposit claim.
Do I need to be there during the clean? +
No. Most tenants give us access and we lock up when we're done. We send you photos of the completed clean so you have proof for your deposit return — handy if you've already left Edinburgh.
Can you do same-day end of tenancy cleaning? +
