What you can earn
Our cleaners earn £14–18/hr effective rate, paid per job not per hour. That's competitive with — or better than — most gig platforms, with none of the fuel costs, vehicle wear, or dead time.
Earnings vary based on property sizes, areas covered, and your availability. August Festival season typically offers 30–50% more work. All figures are for self-employed contractors before tax.

Cleaner FAQs
How much can I earn as a cleaner? +
Our cleaners earn the equivalent of £14–18/hour, paid per job rather than per hour. A typical 2-bed Airbnb turnover pays £40–45 and takes around 2 hours. Three turnovers a day, five days a week works out at roughly £2,400–2,700 a month before tax. August Festival season typically offers 30–50% more work.
Am I employed or self-employed? +
You work as a self-employed contractor. That means you choose which jobs to accept, you can work for other clients too, and there's no exclusivity or fixed shifts. We handle invoicing for you via self-billing, so there's no admin on your side.
Do I need my own equipment or a car? +
Most Airbnb and regular cleans keep equipment on site, so you don't need to carry much. A car helps but isn't essential — we assign jobs by zone so you work in your local area rather than crossing the city.
How and when do I get paid? +
Weekly, by bank transfer. We create the invoices on your behalf through self-billing, so you just complete your jobs and the money lands — no chasing and no waiting on monthly cycles.
What experience do I need to apply? +
Cleaning experience helps, but the most important things are reliability and attention to detail. You'll have a short screening call, a right-to-work check, and a paid shadow shift with an experienced cleaner before you start taking jobs.
